The Armani brand was created in Milan in 1975. Born of an alliance between Giorgio Armani and his partner and companion Sergio Galeotti, the brand initially produced ready-to-wear menswear. Their first men's collection caused a stir, notably with a revolutionary jacket, unstructured and unlined, which unleashed passions and was adapted for women a few months later.

Minimalist, elegant and sober were the watchwords of the Italian brand, which quickly won over an international clientele.
