Maona Monte-Carlo, an open-air summer cabaret to celebrate Monaco's heritage.
When night falls in Monaco, the high-spirited, festive Riviera awakens. The glamourous, joyful and deliciously retro Maona Monte-Carlo is there each evening to remind us that life is a party. A party to be celebrated by the water’s edge, of course. Let’s enjoy the present moment, right now.
A sparkling history
In the 1960s Monaco was the most glamorous of glamorous destinations, where the biggest names of cinema, music and business would meet. In 1962 the Maona Monte-Carlo cabaret opened its doors. Exuberant, extravagant and irreverent, it was the place to go to celebrate the joys of summer. Jerry Lewis, Josephine Baker, Omar Sharif, Liza Minnelli, Michael Caine, Yves Montand and Arthur Ashe were just some of the stars and icons who partied there, living the dolce vita on summer evenings.
The dolce vita Monaco-style
Today, the Maona Monte-Carlo is reinventing the light and carefree times of the 1960s. What does the Maona Monte-Carlo of yesterday have in common with that of today? Its philosophy. A philosophy of shared joy and experiencing the pleasure of being together. We have seized the essential, the quintessence of these glorious years. Revisited its codes in order to give night owls a bright and vibrant experience. Its fabrics, cushions embellished with graphic designs, fringing, rattan and warm colours show that the Maona Monte-Carlo isn’t shy about playing with colours and textures!
When it’s party time all the time
The soundtrack at Maona Monte-Carlo is deliciously retro. Here, the music evolves throughout the evening. Jazz lounge music with a playlist by Bon Entendeur, live piano, soulful sounds from a live diva and finally an electro-disco DJ set to dance the night away… From the Bar Sauvage to the dance floor, on the terrace, at the piano, in the restaurant and in the Tam-Tam Room, music is the guest of honour and the soul runs free. With smiles, laughter and beautiful photos in magical surroundings, happy moments are had and unforgettable memories are made. Tomorrow is still a day away. Tomorrow can wait. Tonight, we party!
