Gastronomy is a central feature of our major life events.
Under the high patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II, sponsored by Christian Garcia, Executive Chef at the Royal Palace, and thought of by Françoise Gamerdinger, Deputy Mayor and Multimedia Library Delegate, Gourmet Book Day offers an impressive line-up from the culinary arts including chefs, writers, journalists, historians and philosophers, “because those who devour books also love to eat delicious food and vice versa”. The Médiathèque de Monaco will bring together books and authors to build a bridge between literature and gastronomy to share with the public.
All day long, over 30 guest speakers will interact with the public on stage at Théâtre Princesse Grace, usually reserved for theatre.
Chefs will talk about their books and passion through anecdotes, secret recipes, round-table discussions, demonstrations and tastings.
Benoit Witz, Chef of the Vistamar at the Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo, will participate in a round-table talk on the art of tasting at 14:00.
Marcel Ravin, Michelin-starred Chef of the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort, and Philippe Joannès, Director of Culinary Events for the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, will be discussing Transmission, Training and Sharing at 16:00.
See you Saturday, 24 November from 10:00 to learn more about the culinary arts in all their forms!
