Thanks to its ability to combine tradition and modernity, the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra plays a leading role in the interpretation of symphonic works from the great repertoire, the revival of rare and contemporary works, and operatic and choreographic creation.

 

For this 9th season devised by Kazuki Yamada, Artistic Director of the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, twenty symphony concerts, two film-concerts, ten recitals and nine musical happy hours will punctuate the 2024/2025 programme.

For this 9th season of the OPMC, artistic and musical director Kazuki Yamada, who will conduct 6 concerts, is preparing a programme full of surprises and emotions with the first 3 concerts of the season:

 

  • The recital by pianist brothers Lucas and Arthur Jussen, this season's artists in residence, who will perform on 15 September at the Salle Garnier
  • The season opener on 22 September at the Grimaldi Forum, with Mahler's Symphony No. 3, conducted by Kazuki Yamada
  • Concert version of the opera L'Ancêtre by Saint-Saëns, 6 October at the Auditorium Rainier III
  • Piano recital by Evdard Grieg, Geirr Tveitt and Frédéric Chopin, on 10 January 2025 at the Auditorium Rainier III

 

Not to mention other recitals and concerts featuring the finest classical artists: Krystian Zimerman, Anne-Sophie Mutter, Martha Argerich, Daniel Lozakovich, Nathalie Stutzmann, Gautier Capuçon, Xavier de Maistre...
